Idle Empire is a floating trade-port idle clicker built for five-minute check-ins. Tap the Unload Cargo button to earn coins by hand, then spend them on ten kinds of sky-generators — from a humble Fishing Skiff all the way up to the Celestial Exchange — that keep earning coins every second, whether you're watching or not. Use Buy 1 / 10 / Max on each generator row to scale up quickly, and spend surplus coins on upgrades that double a generator's output once you own enough of it. Check in once a day to keep your streak alive for a growing production bonus, and once you've earned enough in a single run, Ascend to reset your run in exchange for permanent Stardust.
Idle Empire tracks real elapsed time, not frames, so your harbor keeps producing coins between visits — honestly, with no energy timers or ads interrupting your run. Free accounts claim up to 8 hours of offline progress at 50% efficiency; Pro raises that to a full 24 hours at 100% efficiency. Come back after being away for a minute or more and a welcome-back popup shows exactly how much you earned and over how long, calculated straight from your production rate at the moment you left.
Once you've earned 100 million coins in a single run, the Ascend tab unlocks. Ascending resets your coins, generators and upgrades back to zero — but grants Stardust based on how much you earned that run, and every point of Stardust adds a permanent +2% to all future production, forever. Later runs go faster because of it, which is the whole point: each ascension makes the next one shorter. Pro players who reach 100 Stardust can also convert it into Nebula (Ascension II) for a second, additive permanent bonus layer.
Early on, Buy Max on your cheapest generator is almost always right — more owned units compounds fast. But once a new, higher-tier generator becomes affordable, its production-per-coin is usually far better than piling more into an old one: check the "+/s" number on each row before you spend. A good rule of thumb is to buy Max on your current best generator until the next tier's first unit costs less than about 10x your current coin income — then switch your saving toward it instead.
Every mechanic that affects the core loop — all 10 generators, all 30+ upgrades, Ascension, achievements, stats, export/import — is free forever. Idle Empire Pro is a single US$5 one-time unlock, not a subscription, and adds convenience and cosmetic extras: a longer, faster offline cap, a higher streak bonus, Ascension II, four canvas themes and an auto-buy toggle. Nothing in the game is ever sold piecemeal, and there is no real-money currency of any kind.
