The estimated output size shown before you run the job is a rough guide based on typical bitrates for your video's resolution and length, not a hard guarantee — real output size depends on how much motion and detail is in your footage.

Most video isn't shot in the vertical 9:16 frame that Reels, Shorts and TikTok expect. Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Every trim, compress, crop and export runs inside your browser using a video engine (ffmpeg) compiled to WebAssembly. Your file is never sent to a server — the only network request is downloading that engine once, after which everything works offline.
Why is the first run slow?
The first time you process a video, your browser downloads the video engine itself — about 30 MB. Your browser caches it, so every run after that starts instantly, even offline, until you clear your browser's site data.
What video formats are supported?

Why does Fast trim sometimes start a little early?
Fast trim copies the original video data without re-encoding, so it's instant and lossless, but it can only cut on a keyframe. If your chosen start time falls between keyframes, Fast trim rounds to the nearest one before it — sometimes a few seconds early. Precise mode re-encodes so the cut lands exactly where you set it, at the cost of processing time.
